Technical ceramics are chemically and physically stable even under extreme working conditions. A large group of technical ceramics have excellent resistance to most acids, bases, electrolytes, plasma and other corrosive media.
Traditional static mixing is dominated by metals as ceramic is difficult to be machined to achieve the function. With ceramic AM, ceramic materials can be made into static mixers which can be used to mix a wide range of fluids due to its insert nature. By changing the design of the internal path, the mixing speed and efficiency can be controlled.
The production of manifolds traditionally requires the division of the complex part into several simple pieces before assembling them together. For ceramics, the assembled part sometimes has inferior mechanical properties than parts without assembly. With ceramic AM, complex manifold can be produced as one piece and with additional functionality.
