BIOMEDICAL

A large group of technical ceramics are biocompatible, ranging from bioinert ceramics like alumina and zirconia to bioactive ceramics like hydroxyapatite. As a result, it is widely used in implants and biomedical devices. Our technology makes it easy to produce customized implants for individual cases.

KEY PROPERTIES

DENSE ZIRCONIA IMPLANTS

Zirconia ceramics are bioinert. Due to their toughness, it usually serves as a load supporting implant.

POROUS HYDROXYAPATITE IMPLANTS

Hydroxyapatite is bioactive, which promotes bone growth and bonds to the material especially for porous designs. Additive manufacturing makes it possible to control the location and geometry of the pores.

Uniformed porosity and the constant diameter of the fully interconnected pores promote osteointegration and the mechanical strength of implants.
